About us

Following in the footsteps of his father, who served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Hussein Abukhdeir proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 28 years of service at Schriever Air Force Base. During that time, he was transferred to Colorado Springs in 1998.

Already an ocean away from their homeland in Jerusalem, his family’s search for authentic Middle Eastern food often meant traveling long distances to find the nearest restaurant. Hussein, his wife, and their children began dreaming of opening a restaurant that would offer affordable, delicious, and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.

In 2007, that dream became a reality.
